Painters Block is intended as a focus group to brainstorm and develop solutions to improve the Fantasy art market/community on the international stage. We are a juried gallery specializing in the fantasy genre. Our sole purpose is to provide like minded, talented artists, the tools necessary

to successfully market themselves.

Here are some questions that Paintersblock wishes to answer by asking you the artists community:

      What can be done to improve the art market
      within the fantasy community?

Our Mission Statement:

Painters block will strive to provide more public outreach about fantasy art and improve a weak gallery system. (Bad experiences, among artists and galleries call integrity into question and reduce confidence and loyalty among artists.) Individual artists can shine in an endless sea of other artists by receiving more of a useful critique system from the community and the editors alike. We will have a system in place that provides an atmosphere of more relaxed freedom to get advice from the WIP forums. We hope this will be the key to getting the more knowledgeable artists helping guide and teach the community. Listening to the needs of the artists is the most important thing. If you have an idea? we’ll make it work.

Funding: No gallery should be chocked full of commercial ads… Funding should come from promoting the artists. Publishing books or magazines that are dedicated to promoting your artworks, and having auctions are some ideas we want to implement. There are many ways the community can be funded while promoting the artists themselves. If you have ideas on this please let me know in the message boards.
